Rev. Bruce Thompson - Bio
Pastor Bruce has served as pastor of St. Timothy’s since August 2015. He was born and raised in Kitchener Ontario and is a graduate of Waterloo Lutheran Seminary.
He was called to ministry at an early age, yet Pastor Bruce pursued a vocation in the business field. His career with wholesale lumber companies, which spanned over 35 years, proved to be rewarding in so many ways. Yet, God’s call continued and later in life he decided to leave this profession and answer the call to serving God’s people.
Pastor Bruce is Dean of the Ottawa Valley Ministry Area for the Eastern Synod. He is active in the community serving, as he has a passion to help people.
Now for the fun things..........I appreciate antique cars. Just ask my spouse Charlotte. We have been known to travel hours just to enjoy a car show. And when she was a tot, our daughter Sarah would journey with us too.
One of the highlights of my life was forming a Southern Gospel chorus. I enjoy all types of music from Bach to Blue Grass.
I love to be with people and am often energized from those around me. I value relationships deeply. So drop by the office anytime. As I say, the coffee pot is always on!
